We are a friendly bunch. We shouldn’t have to tell you that our doors are always open for you to come and visit our houses to get a feel for the spaces. But to see houses like Iscoyd Park decorated in all their glory, you only get a few weekends in the year. So you either need to make the most of these weekends and visit, or stalk them hourly on social media so you can keep up with the live goings-on. Failing that, you get to read posts like this!
Betrothed couple or not, there is nothing more teasingly enjoyable than being able to walk around the immaculate gardens set up with games, drinks stations, comfy benches and fire pits, or through the bedrooms that have chocolates on the beds, indulgent midnight hampers with champagne and Neom Organic products and imagine your own gloriously magical party or beautifully romantic wedding happening there.
On 2nd October, this was the case for all those who visited the Iscoyd Park Wedding Open Day. They got to play house for the day.
The Fine Dining Company once again provided some mouth-watering treats for guests to nibble on whilst they sauntered into the marquee to meander around the ornately set tables, marvel at the shiny, sparkly table settings and smell the sweet aroma of the lilies in the most enormous table centrepieces by Red Floral Architects.
This time around, the Iscoyd events team turned the attention to their visitors and handed each of them a selfie-stick (apologies to the haters) to take with them around the grounds. To win a hamper of delicious looking goodies (Iscoyd Park champagne and chocolate included), the couples had to take photos of themselves in their favourite place at Iscoyd and share their photo on Instagram, #IscoydPark #Competition. The most inventive wins! We saw couples in bath tubs, reclining on chaise longues and even balancing on the boat in the lake, see the entries here. The prize went to an acrobatic Tim and the more sensible Holly who you can see here. Official signs that love really can go to your head!
Wedding Open Day – the pictures!
How many hues of green can you see? Fantastic colours in the garden at Iscoyd.
Lock the door, put the radio on, pile up the pillows and let the feasting commence!
Outdoor eating area outside The Stables bedrooms
I can’t imagine there being a Pokemon Go coin around, they must be there for the whisky bar!
The Garden Room lends itself so beautifully for weddings, with light filling the room from the enormous windows at the front and back of the room. The fact it doubles up as a dance floor later in the night gives it all the more kudos!
