Who are Elmore Court?

Elmore Court is one of England’s hidden treasures; with family heritage dating back to the 13th Century and an impressive combination of historic and contemporary architecture.

We offer a relaxed approach to gatherings, parties and celebrations amidst the comfort and character of a wonderful family home. Our pride and joy is our future-rustic rammed-earth ‘super marquee’, The Gillyflower.

It’s not just the idyllic surroundings or eclectic house that make Elmore Court unique. The surrounding woods not only helped to build the beautiful Gillyflower, but the timber provides heating and hot water, and the farmland is starting to provide produce for the kitchens.

Our favourite things about Elmore

  • Dancing in the countryside to loud, clear music and knowing that we’re not going to irritate the neighbours! The Gillyflower is uniquely sound-proofed with cutting edge sound and lights designed and installed by some of the world’s best engineers.
  • Being increasingly self-sufficient. Our kitchen team work with local farmers and estate gardeners to produce locally-grown, delicious and seasonal menus. We already generate all heating and hot water from our managed woodlands via a Biomass Boiler.
  • The varied spaces we have to enjoy yourself in. The House has heritage and grandeur but feels familiar like a home, with eight wonderful rooms in which to take it easy. There are the manicured lawns and gardens but also more informal, rural fields with stunning Gloucestershire backdrops perfect for bell tent camping, and of course we have The Gillyflower, which is something else.

It’s not just our guests that have been won over by the beauty and charms of Elmore Court. One of our very own Event Managers, Leesa told us what she loves the most about working at Elmore.

Where are we?

Located in the heart of the Gloucestershire countryside with breathtaking views over the Cotswolds, Elmore Court has all the benefits of peaceful isolation, but is just a short drive from Gloucester city centre. Just a stones throw from the banks of the River Severn, there are a number of picturesque places to visit nearby. From the Cotswolds, to the Forest of Dean, you won’t be short of things to do.
